Michigan entrepreneur Todd Sluis has given a new meaning to having kids mow the lawn. Sluis makes a living by renting out his goats at $10 an animal to clear brush on hard to reach areas and hillsides.
In an article on nwitimes.com, Sluis’ work is featured as a way to clear unwanted vegetation without using pesticides or power equipment.
Sluis, whose landscaping company is based in West Olive, Michigan, takes his 60 goats to landscaping jobs in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois as well has his home state.
Since goats eat pretty much anything their way, one may have to watch out for anything else they don’t want eaten along with the overgrowth. But if the smell is tolerable, why not hire Sluis and his kids for amusement if nothing else?
